Scripture
2 Timothy 4: verse 16-18 ERV (easy to read version)
The first time I defended, myself no one helped me. Every one left me. I pray that God will forgive them. But the Lord stayed with me.The Lord gave me strength so I could tell the good news everywhere. He wanted all those who are not Jews to hear that Good News. So I was saved from the lion’s mouth. The Lord will save me when anyone tries to hurt me. He will bring me safely to his heavenly kingdom. Glory forever and ever be the Lord’s. Amen.

Prayer
Glory to God in the highest thank you for your constant and consistent presence in difficult times of our life. Your guidance helps us overcome life challenges, when we are let down by man (friends) who we placed our trust and hope in. Forgive our friends.
Help us to remain steadfast in you Father, guiding us and pushing us through battles. When we overcome them we can give the ultimate praise and glory and share our story testimony to others. Amen.

Reflection
Paul is writing To Timothy encouraging to take the walk of faith. Sometimes in life drama happens, whether it is a life event, workplace or college school problem. Sometimes someone you thought was with you lets you down and it can be hard to understand, we can then sometimes gravitate to friends or family for guidance and help.
Instead of supporting they abandon us. We have to forgive them and recognize that God is with us such comfort, it is in knowing this when we go through the storm. He will be there and we can give him the glory for helping us overcome things.
Our victory through him, however small! is an encouragement to those who have yet to know him. let us lean on him.
