Waiting on God.
waititng on God is one of the hardest things do and it doesn’t sound exciting, does it? To begin waiting? To continue waiting? and more waiting…..
We hate waiting, well I will be honest and say I really do not like waiting! Waiting in lines, my goodness… I have on occassions filled my trolly to the max, only to see the giant queue, and walk out the shop leave the trolly and all the shopping that I actually needed. I mean the list goes on you maybe waiting on children, waiting on spouses. waiting on money to come in. waiting on exam results. waiting on God with an endless list of desires. Waiting.
Usually, we think of waiting as a waste of time, but there are times when I’m excited about the waiting. I’m actually eager for a period of waiting to begin.
For Example during the Advent celebration, I’m eager for the joyful expectancy of the birth of my Savior. I’m eager for a period of reflection, worship and prayer. I’m eager to wait. During the waiting season, I’m eager for a period of reflection and worship, a focus on prayer and quiet. Sometimes a period of waiting is just what my heart needs.
If you are in the wait season these scriptures will help you!
“I waited patiently for the Lord. He turned to me and heard my cry. He lifted me out of my pit of destruction out of my sticky mud. He stood me on a rock and made my feet steady. He put a new song a new song in my mouth, a song of praise to our God. Many people will see this and worship him. Then they will trust the Lord. Happy is the person who trusts the Lord, who doesn’t turn to those who proud or those who worship false gods.
Psalm 40: 1-4 New Century Version (NCV).
“God made a promise to Abraham. And there is no one greater than God, so he made the promise with an oath in his own name an oath that he would do what he promised. He said,” I will surely bless you. I will give you many descendants”. Abraham waited patiently for this to happen, and later he received what God promised.

You will search for me. And when you search for me with all your heart, you will find me!

a time to be born and a time to die,
a time to plant and a time to uproot,a time to kill and a time to heal,
a time to tear down and a time to build,
a time to weep and a time to laugh,
a time to mourn and a time to dance, a time to scatter stones anda time to gather them,
a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing,
a time to search and a time to give up,
a time to keep and a time to throw away,a time to tear and a time to mend,
a time to be silent and a time to speak,
a time to love and a time to hate,
a time for war and a time for peace.
