Praying Scriptures for True Joy

 

 

Is Jesus truly our joy?

Are we looking in all the wrong places to find joy?

Have we learned that true contentment, peace and joy come from no other and from nowhere other than Jesus? Even after knowing this we still keep slipping back into old behaviour patterns, worldly thoughts and seeking joy in THINGS!

Or may be going through a difficult season, these scriptures will teach you how to have joy even when it seems hard. Why not pray the verses to remind our hearts and our minds that Jesus is our only TRUE  source of JOY.

Pray these Scriptures,read them daily and you  will see change if you open you heart and allow God to work within you,

1.
“Though you have not seen him, you love him. Though you do not now see him, you believe in him and rejoice with joy that is inexpressible and filled with glory,”[English Standard Version, 1 Peter 1:8]

2.

“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.”[Romans 15:13]

3.

“But now I am coming to you, and these things I speak in the world, that they may have my joy fulfilled in themselves.”[John 17:13]

4.

“Splendor and majesty are before him; strength and joy are in his place.”[1 Chronicles 16:27]

5.

“These things I have spoken to you, that my joy may be in you, and that your joy may be full.”[John 15:11]

6.

“So also you have sorrow now, but I will see you again, and your hearts will rejoice, and no one will take your joy from you.”[John 16:22]

7.

“For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking but of righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.”[Romans 14:17]

8.

“The hope of the righteous brings joy, but the expectation of the wicked will perish.”[Proverbs 10:28]

9.

“Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds,”[James 1:2]

10.

“I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth.”[3 John 1:4]
